D'Urso Admits Error

Andy D`Urso has improved the likelihood of Stoke City`s appeal being successful by admitting that he may have made an error in judgement with Andy Griffin`s dismissal on Sunday.

The Potters full back was sent off in rather contentious circumstances when he appeared to win the ball in a challenge with Hogan Ephraim, despite lunging towards the ball in a 50/50 challenge.

The incident occurred 3 minutes before half time, with Rangers already 2-0 up courtesy of goals from Mikele Leigertwood.

Football administrator Eddie Harrison spoke to the official website stating:

'The FA have confirmed to Stoke City that the referee has re-considered the matter after watching the incident again."

'His views will be submitted to the regulatory commission tomorrow along with the submission from the club."

'While it doesn't automatically mean his suspension will be uplifted, but the fact that he has now indicated that the matter was only worthy of a caution stands us in good stead.'

Here`s to hoping common sense prevails in football.

Rangers went on to win the game 3-0, which leaves them 8 points off both the playoffs and relegation, whilst Stoke City were kept off top spot.

All parties say that the red was harsh. But what does it matter? You won!!

Agreed, I constantly hasten to add that we were well on top and going for the throat long before this incident. I got the impression we'd get no praise for a splendid performance. I must commend Tony Pulis for his post match comments, very gracious in defeat, I know alot of other managers who would have just blamed the ref and thats that.

Yes, great win for the R's! So how are Hogan and Matt Conolly getting on?
Matt_Us
Hogan is looking like a fantastic addition. At only 19 there is a potential to be even better, likewise Connolly, wins alot in the air and his distribution from the back and his comfort on the ball is a real positive. As for Barker, you can have him back, please. Alot of connections between the two clubs now.
Boxer
Sure are. And you had Mick H too for a bit! Hogan is fab, we all wanted him full-time after what he did last time at Layer Road. I rememeber last Easter West he just waslked up2 a fan and gave his boots away... the guy was delighted! Good luck Hogan!

What is the deal with him clapping opposition fans though??!

Terrible decision but it didn't effect the result, nice to see Gareth Ainsworth get ten minutes, will he be here next season?
