Vital QPR 0-1 Daily Mail

August 2007 Vital QPR predicted new co-owner Flavio Briatore would plough £40m into then manager John Gregory's new player kitty. Seven months down the line Flavio reveals that number was wrong.

This site was the first to reveal the figure but it appears we were way off the mark and now the Daily Mail is able to put the record straight.

Flavio told one of the best selling UK tabloids...

'That number is completely wrong. We have super players with a super attitude. You need a certain type of player to get out of the Championship and I think we have them.'

The Italian wouldn't go into further detail reference available funds, nevertheless current manager Luigi De Canio can expect a summer cash windfall should he wish to bolster his current squad.

Polter Saves QPR

A SECOND half strike from Seb Polter ensured Queens Park Rangers took a share of the spoils in a less than thrilling return to the Pirelli Stadium for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

While the home supporters chanted the name of their former manager - who guided them into League One and helped pave the way for their current Championship status - the visiting supporters were left exasperated by another fairly tepid display.

It could have been worse for the visiting side as they fell behind
