'If It's Football, It's Vital'

£20m Lotto Sponsorship

Queens Park Rangers announced earlier today that Italian firm Lotto Sport Italia are to sponsor the club's new strip, beginning season 2008/09.

The five-year sponsorship will cost the Italian clothing firm a cool £20million in a deal believed to be one of the most generous in Championship football history.

Italian co-owner Flavio Briatore told the worlds media...

'This is the first significant new partnership for the club since I became involved and I am very excited about it.'

'Lotto Sport Italia are the perfect fit as our new kit supplier. I am certain that their involvement will benefit us on and off the pitch.'

'I am delighted with the design of the new team strip, which maintains the QPR tradition of blue and white hoops. I know how important it is to the fans that the hoops remain.'

Further deals will be announced in due course.

That deal has put other clubs, including many Premier League ones into the land of shame. QPR are certainly bringing out all the stops. Wonder what will be next, Flavio and Bernie put on football boots in a bid to bulster your leaky defence?

£20million and even more if you get promoted. Well done the hoops

Great news, not even about the cash, we've already got that in abundance! They're raising the profile of the club, whilst at the same time knowing and keeping the tradition and heritage, its a dream come true.
