Exclusive: Bill Gates Invests In QPR

EXCLUSIVE - Vital QPR has received an embargoed media release in which Microsoft founder Bill Gates is set to announce a substantial investment in Queens Park Rangers Football Club.

Only 15 months ago Gates (52) was linked to a buy-out of Southampton FC when then Chairman Rupert Lowe was considering his options. Sadly for Saints fans Gates lost interest when Lowe asked too much for the ailing Championship side.

Gates net worth is estimated to be around $58 billion while Rangers 20% shareholder Lakshmi Mittal's $45 billion is pale in comparison.

The media embargo is meant to prevent this site from disclosing exact details, nevertheless I as editor feel fans have the right to know. I must also point out that embargoed material is not binding but more of a news media blackout.

What I can say is that official details regarding Mr Gates QPR investment will be published at 11:00am Tuesday 1 April.

Those wishing to do so can read the press release sent from Bills Gates press department by clicking here

will it ever happen
Did something similar on the Boro site this morning. It just had to be done, didn't it? Nice to see some people getting in on the fun, at the same time when our kill-joy society seems intent on driving fun out of life.

There was something deceptively believable about it!

The story is still at the top of the NewsNow feed 18 hours after the story was published. Plus the Google and Yahoo hits have been most impressive. Pity 1 April didn't come round more often? Happy days!! (hee, hee).
