Dexter: That Was For Rowan

Dexter Blackstock had dedicated Rangers late equaliser to fellow striker Rowan Vine.

It was announced on Thursday that Rowan Vine had fractured his leg in a training ground collision with Goalkeeper Matthew Pickens, and Dexter announced his celebration following that late goal on Saturday was directed towards Vine:

Speaking to the official website Dexter revealed:

"We all had a chat about it in the dressing room before kick off, and we said that if any of us score, we would dedicate it to Rowan by showing a 'V` to the fans"

Think of the 'V` sign as more of a peace sign, and not a provocative gesture!

Dexter also spoke about Vine himself:

"I went to see him at his home after the match on Saturday with Mikele Leigertwood, and he`s in good spirits" Dexter revealed, "A few of the other lads went to see him in hospital on Friday to try and give him a bit of a lift."

"He`s a bubbly character and he`s still as lively as ever. I am sure he will come back even stronger."
