Vital QPR new signing qprwill95 gives his considered opinion about Rangers` West London neighbours avoiding the drop from the Premier League, as Fulham leave it to the very last day to save themselves.
Roy Hodgson
The ex-Blackburn manager came into Fulham under a wave of hope and expectancy, after joining the club just before the start of the year. With 18 games to save the Cottagers, Hodgson pulled it off by winning 6, drawing 3 and losing 9.
qprwill95 commented on Hodgson`s acheivements in his time at Fulham:
"I guess all credit must go to Roy Hodgson he turned their season around in the nick of time."
"The 3-2 win over Man City alone probably meant they deserved to stay up, to come back from two goals down is a huge achievement."
Staying Up
With Fulham pulling off the achievement against the odds of staying in the promise land of the Premier League, they avoid having to return to their former home of a few seasons, Loftus Road. If Crystal Palace were the lucky ones to be victorious at Wembley it would sensationally mean that the R`s would be the only capital club in the Championship.
qprwill95 commented about the R`s local rivals, or the lack of, next season:
"I think its a shame Fulham stayed up because as a die hard QPR fan I would love to play Fulham at the Cottage, as West London derbies are few and far between for us."
Finally qprwill95 looks a little closer to home and discusses his hopes and aspirations for the R`s next season:
"As for QPR, I think it would be a massive achievement to even reach the play-offs next season and with De Canio gone will Briatore and Bernie be able to bring someone in who could make us play the same attacking free flowing football? Only time will tell."
