Ramage and Cerny Sign

Peter Ramage and Radek Cerny have today agreed terms with Queens Park Rangers according to the official website.

Peter Ramage is a product of Newcastle`s youth system. The Ashington born defender signed professionally with United in July 2003. The defender who can play centre back or full back, has made 60 appearances in total, but suffered a setback with injury this season and has only played 3 games.

Ramage departed from Newcastle United due to lack of first team chances against the wishes of manager Kevin Keegan who still very much had the local defender in his plans. But in his search for a regular first team place Ramage comes down to W12, with a good reputation.

Radek Cerny joined Spurs on loan from Slavia Prague, a move engineered by ex-boss Martin Jol, initially played as second goalkeeper behind England number 1 Paul Robinson, he has since claimed the Number 1 spot over the England stopper making 12 appearances this season.

The goalkeeper has established himself as a useful Premier League goalkeeper. This is the first real competition for R`s stopper Lee Camp as he is set to fight it out with the Czech goalkeeper for the spot between the sticks next season, because rest assured Cerny is not here to be just a number two.

According to Sky Sports News, Ramage has signed on a three-year deal, and 34 year old Cerny signs a two year deal.
