Third Friendly Announced

Third Friendly Announced

Queens Park Rangers this afternoon announced their third pre-season friendly, an away trip to former foes Northampton Town.

Hot off the heels of the announcements of Oxford United and Chievo Verona, the R`s will travel to hoodoo club Northampton Town.

The fixture at the Sixfields Stadium will be played on Wednesday 23rd July at 7:45pm.

Northampton certainly held the Indian sign over QPR, until a league cup victory at Loftus Road in 2006, courtesy of a strike from Ray Jones.

The chant of "You`ll never beat the Cobblers" certainly is still ringing in my ears as the R`s surrendered a two goal lead to the ten men of Northampton, with Derek Asamoah a constant throne in the side of the Rangers rearguard.
