Oxford Friendly Cancelled and Replaced

Oxford Friendly Cancelled and Replaced

Queens Park Rangers' friendly against Oxford United has been cancelled, but QPR were quick to find a replacement for the vacated date.

The R`s will now line-up against Stevenage Borough at Broadhall Way on Saturday 19th July 2008 at 3:00pm.

The last time the two sides met was also in a pre-season friendly under the reign of Gary Waddock, when the R`s cantered to a 4-1 win courtesy of a second half Kevin Gallen brace.

Stevenage this season narrowly missed out on the playoffs, and were quick to dispatch of former England Under 21 Manager Peter Taylor as a result, appointing former manager Graham Westley.

Absolutely gutted, dying to go to the Kassam. No insight as to why it was cancelled either.

Nobody at Oxford seems to know why it was cancelled either. I wouldn't be too excited about visiting the Kassam though!
