Zeshan Rehman will captain the Pakistan National Side in the South Asian Football Federation Cup, which takes place in the Maldives.
The tournament kicks off on Tuesday and will contain two groups. In Group A, Rehman`s Pakistan will take on the hosts, the Maldives, as well as Nepal, and reigning champions, India.
In Group B, there is Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Afghanistan, with the winners and runners up from the respective groups progressing to the semi-final, with the final being played in Colombo on Saturday 14th June.
The defender formerly of Fulham, and previously having loan spells at Norwich and Brighton, has made 46 appearances for the R`s, and is set to take his place in the squad to play under his fourth different Rangers manager.
Zesh`s two most recent games for Pakistan were both against Iraq, the first losing 7-0, and the second a respectable 0-0 draw.
