Kanyuka Out For Revenge

Pat Kanyuka has sworn revenge on Queens Park Rangers, after he was released by the club in January.

Since January Kanyuka wasted no time in finding a new club in Swindon Town, and it is with his current club that he looks to inflict cup shock on QPR.

'This is going to be my cup final. If there is a penalty I will be fighting for the ball because it would mean everything to me to score against them." Kanyuka told the Swindon Advertiser

'Every professional that I know gets the fixture list at the start of each season and circles the big games that they want to play in."

'We will be travelling to places like Leeds and Leicester next season, but for me QPR is a massive game. I am buzzing about it."

Kanyuka had an injury plagued time at Loftus Road, with momentary inclusions in the first team constantly interrupted with injury woe. He is now looking to put his latest setback behind him, and looks forward to the tie at the County Ground.

'For me personally I would have liked to play at Loftus Road because it would have been emotional, but for the Swindon fans it is good to have a home draw."

'It will be a tough match because QPR are a very good side, so we'll just have to see what happens.'

'I know everyone is talking about their billionaire owners but even without the money QPR are a famous club.'

Kanyuka, however, was quick to criticise the R`s in their hastiness to let the young centre half leave the club, in particular he was critical of Gigi De Canio:

'I did have some good times there but I was not happy with the way it ended for me. They were not very professional."

'I was just coming back from nine months injury and the manager had not even seen me play, but they just said goodbye."

'I felt hard done by but Swindon showed faith in me and now I want to perform for them."

With that in mind, Kanyuka has made only 4 appearances for the Robins since his January transfer, and he will be looking to get one over on his old side, as the two sides meet on the week commencing 11th August.
