Morrison Poised For Sky Blues Switch

Morrison Poised For Sky Blues Switch

Clinton Morrison, who was hotly tipped to rejoin Iain Dowie at QPR, looks set to join Coventry City.

Morrison, 29 has joined up with the Sky Blues on their training camp in the Swiss Alps, and looks set to pen a deal with Chris Coleman`s Coventry City after rejecting a deal at Crystal Palace.

The Eagles henceforth withdrew their offer for Clinton, and Iain Dowie`s QPR were hotly tipped to sign the Irish international.

However this latest development would suggest according to the BBC that Morrison is indeed bound for the Ricoh Arena, as he is set to play for the Sky Blues against Romanian outfit FC Brasov in Martigny.

The Irish international scored 16 goals last season in the Championship, and has scored 41 league goals in 124 appearances in total for the Eagles since his move from Birmingham City for £2,000,000 back in 2005.

Clinton has also bagged 36 caps for the Republic of Ireland, scoring 9 goals.
