Duo Doubtful For Friendly Clash

Iain Dowie will not risk injured duo Mikele Leigertwood and Radek Cerny against Northampton Town tomorrow night.

Both players missed the R`s first game against Stevenage Borough at the weekend and its anticipated they will not play a part at the Sixfields Stadium tomorrow night.

Rangers boss Iain Dowie explained the decision:

'Mikele's is not too much of a problem but discretion is the better part of valour and it's just important it doesn't flare up,'

'Radek has a bit of a tight hamstring which is probably going to keep him out for another week. It's nothing major.'

Cerny is the only one of the R`s 5 summer signings not to feature in a Rangers shirt, with Peter Ramage and Samuel Di Carmine starting the fixture, whilst there was substitute appearances for Emmanuel Ledesma, who hit the bar, and Matteo Alberti who scored Rangers third and final goal.

Rangers will undoubtedly however have a squad brimming with talent, with young players such as the aforementioned Alberti, Angelo Balanta and Romone Rose impressing in the previous fixture at Broadhall Way.

Iain Dowie told QPR.co.uk following the win:

'We'll get back to the training ground over the coming days and look to take it up a notch or two against Northampton on Wednesday.'

The ticket prices for the fixture are as follows as the R`s look for a long awaited victory over the Cobblers, last winning there in 1957:

Adults - £12
Senior Citizens and Under 21s - £7
Under 16s - £4
Under 7s - FREE
