Cole Concedes In Friendly Draw

Jake Cole conceded his first goal for Oxford United last night after recovering from injury to take his place in the line-up.

There had been some concern over the injury to Rangers keeper Jake Cole only a few weeks ago, however his full recovery came just in time for him to take his place against League Two outfit Wycombe Wanderers.

It was a fellow loanee that broke the deadlock for the U`s with Jamie Guy sauntering past his defensive counterparts before hitting a rasping drive beyond Scott Shearer to put the Blue Square Premier outfit infront.

The lead was short lived as another ex-Ranger Tommy Doherty was involved in the build up. His teasing cross enticed Cole to come off his line, when he weak punch was easily gathered by Magno Vieira on the edge of the area, there was only one outcome as he swivelled to place the shot home.

Despite the error it was a relatively competent performance from Cole, who was replaced by Ben Hinchliffe.
