International Rangers

Kaspars Gorkss and Damien Delaney were selected for international honours this evening, but one player got more game time than others.

One of Rangers newest additions, Gorkss, played the full 90 minutes for Latvia in their 1-0 defeat to Romania in Urziceni. Catania forward Nicolae Dica scored the solitary goal from the penalty spot.

Romania missing a number of key players including maligned Chelsea forward Adrian Mutu, edged out their opponents from Latvia in a close encounter.

This news came as the Republic of Ireland drew 1-1 away at Norway, but R`s defender Damien Delaney was pipped to the left back spot by Kevin Kilbane as Giovanni Trapattoni opted for a more attacking line-up.

Liverpool forward Robbie Keane scored Eire`s goal, whilst full back Tore Reginiussen equalised for Norway at the Ullevaal Stadium.
