Moore Pushing For A Recall

After netting in the reserve team match on Tuesday evening, Stefan Moore is now knocking on Gary Waddock's door to be included in the team to face Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Waddock has named his squad in private and the players are getting ready to make the coach journey North tomorrow after training, and Waddock may be about to hand a chance to struggling striker Stefan Moore.

Moore is one of only a few players not to be given a fresh chance to impress the new man in charge in a competitive fixture due to illness and injury recently but after his goal in the reserves may be on hand.

Alan McDonald, Waddo's assistant told Teamtalk if Moore continues impressing he'll most definately get his chance.

'Stefan has been injured, so it was nice for him to get a game and nick a goal,' McDonald said. 'Now he has to work on his match fitness and work his way back into contention.'

Moore has only scored twice this season and has thrown away a couple of great chances in front of goal but the players rate him highly after some impressive displays in training and it seems a waste to let the player leave at the end of the season without giving him a firm chance in the team.

Got an angle on this story? Should Stefan Moore be given a start at Hillsborough?

I say... 'Give him a go'!

Stef scored a terrific goal at Ipswich and played terrifically for the rest of the game. Yet he still has a lot to do to convince me. His confidence seems fragile and his positional sense can be questionable. He is better away from home - I'd maybe give him a run from the bench at some point in the second half. But you can't ignore Baidoo's claims either.
