Waddo Set For Owls Swoop

Caretaker boss Gary Waddock has identified the Sheffield Wednesday crowd as a key pointer as his Rangers side visit Hillsborough this Saturday in search of victory.

With 7 points from his first four games in charge, including an away win at 2nd placed Sheffield United, Waddo is fast becoming the 'man for the job' according to the Rangers faithful.

And as he sets his side up to face the struggling Owls this weekend he has told his players to 'silence the crowd' as the R's look for another smash and grab trip to South Yorkshire.

Speaking to Teamtalk he said: 'If we can make it difficult for Wednesday early on, the crowd will become a bit restless.

'But they're struggling, so they will fight for every ball.'

Rangers look likely to be without Marc Nygaard and Steve Lomas and Scott Donnelly for the trip North.

Stefan Moore, Simon Royce and Marc Bircham have all been included in the squad as well as Ian Evatt and young midfielder Stefan Bailey who impressed from the start against Wolves last week.

Wednesday sit only two points above the drop zone having been promoted via the playoffs last season having only won 8 of their 37 league games this season.
