Norwich Target Former R`s Defender

Norwich Target Former R`s Defender

Michael Mancienne has been targeted by Glenn Roeder`s Norwich City as a possible loan target.

Mancienne is currently still a Chelsea player and sits on the periphery of the England Under 21 squad.

He had been on loan at QPR for the past two seasons, and it had been mooted that Rangers were set to mount a bid for a third year - this has not been forthcoming.

Michael Mancienne penned a new deal with Rangers` West London rivals not so long ago under the reign of Jose Mourinho, but hasn`t seemed to get an closer to first team football following his move back to Chelsea.

If the deal was to come to fruition, Michael would join fellow loanee Ryan Bertrand, and would follow in the footsteps of former Rangers loanee Jimmy Smith whose time at Carrow Road was curtailed by injury.
