European Champions Host Rangers

QPR will travel to Manchester United in the Fourth Round of the Carling Cup.

Rangers have already performed one giant-killing this season, and they travel to Old Traford in search of another. For those of you who think that`s impossible, Iain Dowie`s Coventry City knocked out the double winners last season.

The last time the two sides met, the R`s picked up a creditable draw in March 1996. Now they face a very different prospect with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney in their ranks, Rangers will certainly find this more of a challenge than Aston Villa.

Speaking prior to the Derby game, R`s assistant boss Tim Flowers was delighted with the draw,

"What a draw!" Flowers told QPR.co.uk

'It's fantastic for the Football Club and especially those supporters who travel the length and breadth of the country to support us."

'The lads will be buzzing, but the immediate focus is on Derby County."

'Manchester United will take care of itself when it comes round in early November.'

The tie will take place the week commencing Monday 10th November 2008.
