Stefan Moore joins Kidderminster Harriers FC

Stefan Moore seems to have found a home at last! Kidderminster Harriers announced today that Moore would be joining them for the next month with a view to a longer deal, after spending two weeks training with the club. Moore is following in the footsteps of ex-Hoops player, Dean Sturridge, who joined the Harriers after leaving QPR in June 2006.

After leaving QPR in January 2007, Moore tried his luck with several clubs including Australian club Melbourne Victory (Nick Ward`s club), before joining Walsall in February 2008. He made only three appearances for Walsall, two of those as a sub, scoring only one goal (which was on his debut).

Moore joined QPR from Aston Villa. Whilst at Villa, Moore had been sent out on loan to Chesterfield, Millwall and Leicester, making a total of 17 appearances for those clubs, but failing to score at any of them.

QPR manager Ian Holloway brought Moore to Rangers in June 2005. Ollie was excited at the prospect of the then 21-year old striker joining our ranks, boasting that "he`ll chase paper bags in the wind in the park for you all day long."

Holloway was not to be proved correct in hoping that Moore would bring a new aspect to our attacking play and after a disappointing start, he was allowed to go out on loan to Port Vale in 2006. At Port Vale he made 15 appearances during which time he scored just one goal; and he returned to QPR in December 2006.

Moore made a total of 42 appearances for the Rs, 21 of those as substitute, in his three years as a Hoop. He managed to score the very disappointing total of only 3 goals during that time.

Unfortunately for the 25-year old forward, his career record to-date is not particularly impressive. He`s played a total of 109 games finding the net only 7 times. Let us hope, for his sake, that he has finally found his niche and his career at Kidderminster is a success.
