Man of the Match - Damiano Tommasi

Vital QPR members have voted Damiano Tommasi as Rangers man of the match against Birmingham City.

Debutante Tommasi made his W12 bow on Tuesday night against Birmingham City and provided some much needed solidity in the middle of the park alongside Martin Rowlands and then Gavin Mahon, following the early dismissal of Mikele Leigertwood.

At times Tommasi displayed his world class billing, with cameos of class showing Rangers fans why he played at the highest level in Italy, as well as on the international stage.

Deemed not anywhere near fit enough to play by boss Iain Dowie just a week ago, Tommasi came through the 90 minutes with flying colours where as others with younger legs were considerably flagging.

Damiano Tommasi beat second placed Samuel Di Carmine, whose goal handed the R`s a momentous victory.

The top three were as follows:

Damiano Tommasi - 51%
Samuel Di Carmine - 13%
Radek Cerny - 12%
