Rangers Duo Ready For Wolves

Hogan Ephraim and Heidar Helguson speak in the build up to the R`s clash against the league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The televised clash sees the R`s search for back to back home wins for new boss Paulo Sousa, but in Wolves they face a tough side that sits proudly at the summit of the Championship.

Hogan Ephraim believed that Wolves` attacking prowess is evident, but also their defensive capabilities, marshalled by former R`s loanee Michael Mancienne:

"It`s fair to say there the best team in the league, their position proves it" Hogan told QPR.co.uk

"It`ll be a very tough game, they have a good strike force but they also have a mean defence.

"We know Michael`s back there, it`ll be a tough game, but these are the sort of games we normally play well in when you see Stoke last year and Birmingham this year we normally play well in these games and hopefully we can do it again.

"It`s a great team we have here but we`ve just got to put it into play and we`ve got to get the results sooner rather than later."

Striker Heidar Helguson, looking to shake off a howler of a miss with his first touch at the weekend, looks forward to the fixture and Wolves` potent threats of Iwelumo and Ebanks-Blake.

'It's a great opportunity for us to test ourselves against the league leaders,' Helguson told QPR.co.uk

'They won't fancy coming to Loftus Road, because it is notoriously a very difficult away trip.

'It's live on Sky too, so there's always that added edge.'

'Wolves have really impressed so far this season, and in Ebanks-Blake and Iwelumo they have two forwards who are enjoying a rich vein of form in front of goal, so of course it will be tough."

While impressed with the opposition the striker on loan from Bolton Wanderers has lofty aspirations for the future of Queens Park Rangers:

'I look at our squad and don't see any reason why we can halt them in their tracks.

'In my opinion, we have the potential to be as good as any other side in the top ten at the moment. The key will undoubtedly be our away form, but I saw enough of us against Palace to know that we'll break that duck soon.'
