Owen Coyle couldn`t hide his delight following the FA Cup stalemate at Loftus Road.
Burnley had arguably the best chances of the fixture with Wade Elliott hitting the bar in the first half with an exquisite volley, before Chris Eagles rounded Radek Cerny before putting his effort into the side netting.
The Clarets started the game without a full compliment of players, only naming six substitutes due to an injury crisis within the club. One of the smaller squads in the division Burnley now must pick themselves up for a massive Carling Cup test against Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking to burnleyfootballclub.co.uk the Clarets boss was pleased with the hard fought draw in W12. The first time he has failed to pick up all three points at Loftus Road at the third time of asking.
He said: 'It was hard fought and there weren't too many opportunities in the game.
'What there were, I thought we had the better of and I felt if anyone was going to score today it was going to be ourselves.
'Chris had a chance in the second half and Wade cracked one off the bar in the first half, but with only 17 players available it's a great result to still be in the cup.'
Coyle singled out full back Christian Kalvenes and midfielder Wade Elliott for praise, with the former only able to play after a hastily arranged game to improve his fitness levels ahead of the FA Cup clash.
Coyle said: 'Wade was terrific playing in one from the right and Christian did ever so well after being out for a few months and only a few days training.
'We had to put on a game against the youth team in midweek, when Steve Davis, Sandy Stewart and myself made up the numbers to get him a game.
'He's come through today and that will give him a huge boost from that. He will certainly sleep tonight!'
