Delaney Up For The Cup

QPR defender Damien Delaney believes his side are more than capable of winning at Turf Moor in the FA Cup replay.

Barely a few days has passed since the R`s and Burnley played out a disappointing 0-0 stalemate at Loftus Road, meaning that they would have to do it all again at Turf Moor.

Delaney told the Kilburn Times that while he was disappointed with the draw, he believes the R`s can go on and win.

He said: 'In an ideal world, we'd have won on Saturday and gone straight through to the fourth round, but on the other hand we've got another bite of the cherry,'

'Going to Premier League grounds was a fantastic experience and we all want to get on another cup run and do it again, which means we've got to go up to Burnley, do our best and get a result.

'I think we dominated the game on Saturday, but it's the old story about what happens if you don't take your chances - and that's not necessarily blaming the centre-forwards, it's up to all of us to create chances.

'We didn't create too many clear-cut ones this time. Then again, I can't remember Radek having anything to do, to be honest, so having a clean sheet is one of the positives from the day.'

Burnley`s brutal schedule combined with their injury woes appear to be catching up with them after a crushing defeat away at Tottenham Hotspur last night. However they will take much from their early showing and look to build for this weekend`s Championship clash against Swansea, before meeting the R`s again on Tuesday.

We cant assume anything next Tuesday. It's on their patch & they'll be up for it coz they know they wont be getting to the Carling Cup final after last night's performance. And we've got a lousy away record!! It should be quite a game, tho - at least better than the game on Saturday.

...and we don't do cups..

Only tea cups!!

In all seriousness I wouldn't be that surprised if we did progress. We have a lot of underperforming talent. And with Helguson and Routledge at our disposal who knows!

Let's wait & see - gotta do better against Coventry first! 3 points on Saturday are, in my opinion, more important than Tuesday's cup game :-D

Im with you Sandy ... eevn if we do win at Turf Moor, we probably wont get past the hawthorns so id rather have 3 point than an extra game to play.
