Rs` without Routledge in FA Cup

It seems that QPR did not tie up Routledge`s signature in time for him to be registered to play for us in the 3rd round of the FA Cup - and that means the 3rd round replay, too!

According to the London Informer, both sides were still considering the terms of Routledge`s contract at the noon deadline for registering players as imposed by the F.A.

Routledge finally put pen to paper at about 3.00pm on Friday 2nd January - but that was 3 hours too late for him to be eligible for the 3rd of the FA Cup.

It remains to be seen whether Lee Cook will in fact feature for the Rs tomorrow night, following his absence on Saturday due to a nasty virus which meant he had to be substituted against Burnley in the game at Loftus Road ten days` ago. With both wingers absent, Sousa may have to re-think the team's shape to accommodate those players coming into the side.

Elsewhere, the Club have announced that Patrick Agyemang`s exploratory surgery was a great success. Head Physio, Paul Hunter, told the QPR official website that "the early signs are very positive in terms of rehabilitation."

Hunter confirmed that Agyemang has "already began light rehab work and we will continue to monitor his progress over the coming weeks."

The problem with this last statement is that it is rather vague - just how many "weeks" will Agyemang be out for, Mr Hunter?

And if Agyemang is out for "weeks", will our owners now re-think their quest for new players and please include the eminent striker we have all been crying out for!

According to the BBC site PS has players in mind to solve our lack of goals problem and the board are also aware. Hopefully then we will see a new striker or two within the next couple of weeks. Also read in today's Mirror (in saturday's match report) the transfer fees for Routledge, Cook and Helguson!!!

Well Hallelujah! We need another forward. But it just goes to show our lack of squad when two wingers go down injured we have nothing else wide.

LCF - I know you are desperate to see Gazza play for us again - but your best chance of that is to go to a Reserve team game. I cant see him playing for the first XI again - sorry!
