Sunderland Confirm Rs Interest In Miller

It seems that there is a realistic chance QPR will be taking Liam Miller from Sunderland.

Sunderland manager, Ricky Sbragia, has confirmed the Rs' interest in the Irish midfielder, who was apparently initially brought to the attention of the QPR Board by Replubic of Ireland national team manager, Giovanni Trapatonni.

Spealing to safc.com, Sbragia said:'There's been some interest in Liam from QPR so something might happen there.

'They've made an enquiry about him and we're just waiting to see the full extent of their interest, but it looks like it could be a loan.'

The rumour is that, as Miller is out of contract in the summer, Rangers could take the player on loan until then and buy him outright in the summer.

In other news, rumours are rife that Rangers could try to lure Leroy Lita away from Reading. The front-man turned down the chance to move to Championship rivals Sheffield United, preferring to stay at Reading to fight for his place. However, the media are still linking Rangers with Lita, as reported by Ben Kosky in The Kilburn Times.

If we don't land Lita, we could try our luck once more with Sunderland's Daryl Murphy - at least, that is, according to The Sun newspaper.

Well, we haven't been linked with many strikers recently - but the media is obviously picking up on our difficulties in scoring goals and making the same leap as, I think, we QPR fans are! We must buy a striker!!

Been at golf today, came in expecting to hear about our new striker but no, we're linked with yet another midfielder. Perhaps this new formation PS wants to play is 2-7-1.

But if a midfielder were to score 10 or so goals, as Buzsaky does (when fully fit), then does it matter if we're getting another midfielder? Hope golf was good - not too foggy?

Tricky little player - would be a good addition. United thought so only a few years back.

I'm not saying it won't be a good addition but surely we need to move some migfielders out? PS says he knows the areas that need strengthening, surely it can't be different to what we think. You guys go regularly and I keep in touch, it appears to everyone else this is a right back, left back and 1/2 strikers. BTW Sandy, golf was good and the fog was burnt off by the intense heat of the sun, bonus of living on the Costa Del Hampshire!
