'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Leigertwood Stays Put

Mikele Leigertwood has underlined his ambitions to stay in W12 despite recent interest from several clubs.

If rumours were to be believes the R`s combative midfielder had attracted the interest of Premier League outfit Bolton Wanderers and Championship front-runners Wolves.

However the former Sheffield United man underlined his commitment to the cause or as it is more infuriatingly known "The Project".

Mikele spoke to QPR.co.uk after training in an interview broadcast this afternoon.

He said: "Obviously there`s been a bit in the paper that I`m going. I`m here now and I`ve been told I`m not going anywhere and I don`t really want to go anywhere

"As long as people are happy to keep me here then I`m happy to stay

"When I came I knew what was going to happen and probably people want it to happen quicker than it is but these things take time, it`s quite an exciting project that I want to be a part of."

The training session also saw Rowan Vine step up his comeback from a broken leg - a shocking event witnessed by Vital QPR co-editor Sandydl.

The former Portsmouth and Birmingham City forward was working hard with fitness coach John Harbin, and enjoying some time with the ball in a game of keepy-uppy with Emmanuel Ledesma.

The intensive training sessions sees the R`s coming in on Sunday to prepare for a crucial away trip on Tuesday night against Blackpool as they look for back to back away wins - no really!

Didn't you all hear my cheers & excited clapping - couldn't you see my huge grin - as I watched Viney kicking that ball around with Ledesma? Last time I saw him he was lying on the training ground, clutching his leg & swearing like a trouper!! Today's image of him is a much, much better one to have :-D

That was positive, thought it deserved a video of its own, with another interview. Oh well. Well done Viney, and well done Legs!!
