Sousa Revels In Routledge Deal

Queens Park Rangers boss Paulo Sousa has been delighted with the start that Wayne Routledge has made to his Rangers career.

The Portuguese boss has seen Routledge play two games now, and he has been impressed with the effort and application of the former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa man.

Speaking to QPR.co.uk Paulo Sousa outlined the importance of the Routledge deal in the progression of the club.

He said: 'Wayne really impressed

'He was fantastic for us and his team-mates complimented him too, so it worked out really well.

'He is a hugely important player for us, as we bid to progress as a team.

'Wayne was one of my priorities during this transfer window and the Board backed me to bring him in here and I really appreciate that.

'The dynamics of the side are improving because we have greater options now. Wayne is integral to that, as are the rest of the players.'

Routledge bagged his first goal for the R`s at the weekend, and was an integral figure throughout the away win against Derby County.

He was subsequently voted man of the match by Vital QPR members for his performance.

Good to see the boy playing and becoming "integral". I always thought he could become something special at spurs when he first signed. Anyway Good Luck for the rest of the season!!
