Journeyman Striker Set For R's Switch?

A newspaper is today reporting that Rangers could be lining up a bid for Birmingham flop Marcus Bent.

The Mirror carried that story today linking Marcus Bent has fallen out of favour with manager Alex McLeish only seven months after moving to the second city.

The Hammersmith born forward will look to make Rangers his 12th club in a career spanning over 18 years. In that time he has made 513 appearances scoring 106 goals, commanding an accumulated transfer kitty of 10,025,000.

The same newspaper recently linked the R`s with Reading forward Leroy Lita as they continue a mission to bolster their attacking threat.

Not overly impressed by the prospect, but at least he's a striker.

I think he's EXACTLY what we're looking for. A goalscorer that has done it at this level coutless times. Did it for Wigan in the Prem last season. I think we should really go for it!

The thing is that he would probably be in his element the way that Rangers play,
