Update: Bolder Departs

Millwall are set to sign QPR midfielder Adam Bolder after the R`s released him of his contract two years to the day after signing him.

The combative midfielder reported for training with the Lions this morning, and manager Kenny Jackett hopes to have the deal tied up by the end of today.

He told South London newspaper The Shopper: "We are hoping to sign Adam Bolder today on a permanent deal.

"It is all agreed and he is around the training ground today.

"He is a midfield player and had been on loan with us earlier in the season but went back to Q.P.R two or three weeks ago.

"They have given him a free transfer, so he is coming in on a free today.

"We will use the same squad which was at Hereford, but perhaps with Bolder added too."

The 28-year-old former Derby County man impressed in his brief spell with the League One side and looks set to drop down a level in search of regular first team football.

Signed by John Gregory a two years ago to the day, Bolder went on to become one of the most influential signings in recent years as he helped the R`s to the points required to stay in the Championship.

He played 42 times for the R`s scoring two goals following a free transfer deal from Derby County.

Millwall are set to announce his signature later today.

Adam Bolder, you were an absolute rock when you came to Rangers, and your effort and work-rate epitomised the teams efforts to stay up that season. Thank you for the times you gave us!!
