Sousa Happy With Royals Point

Paulo Sousa is pleased with his Rangers side following a point against promotion contenders Reading.

Speaking after the 0-0 stalemate to QPR.co.uk the Portuguese boss intimated that while controlling proceedings and creating more chances he is happy with the performance.

He said: 'We made a good performance. We showed good knowledge throughout, controlling the tempo and rhythm of the game.

'We made more chances than Reading over the 90 minutes, but I'm happy to accept a point.

'We know where we want to be and we are moving in the right direction.'

Sousa also took time out to praise Reading, believing the Royals have the promotion credentials necessary in their squad to succeed.

He continued: 'It's never easy to play against such a good side as Reading.

'They were very compact and have Premier League quality throughout their squad. This shows our level of performance is very good."

Rangers now face one of the form teams on Tuesday night in Swansea City and Sousa will be looking for his first home victory of 2009.
