Balanta Returns Early

Angelo Balanta has been re-called from his loan at Wycombe Wanderers in the wake of the departure of Emmanuel Ledesma.

The departure of Emmanuel Ledesma was confirmed today and Rangers have moved quickly to bolster the squad by bringing back Colombian forward Balanta

According to thisislondon Balanta has returned just under two weeks before he was due to be recalled, his final match due to be against Zesh Rehman`s Bradford City on Valentines Day.

It is reported by the website that Peter Taylor had made efforts to extend Balanta`s loan spell until the end of the season after he had impressed during his time at Adams Park.

Angelo shot to fame while having to gain special permission to sport some fetching tights during a football match. He also scored three goals in 11 appearances for the Chairboys during his eight-week loan spell.

Agree - am delighted Angelo's back - but a little worried at how thin our squad now is, particularly in midfield!

By all accounts he began to flounder in the final few fixtures but two of his goals were classy. I think he'll be excited at our lack of striking options at the moment.
