Camp Wants Out Of QPR

Camp Wants Out Of QPR

Lee Camp has told BBC Nottingham that he wants to sign for Nottingham Forest.

Camp`s comments come after his error cost Rangers two points at the City Ground, as he admits he would be interested in a move away from QPR.

He said: 'If Forest want to do something, fantastic. I'm under the impression that they know what to do.

'It would certainly interest me, but the ball is in Forest's court.'

'Me and Billy never had a crossed word, a disagreement, or anything at Derby. He was always very honest with me, looked me in the eye and told me how it was.'

Camp responded several times to the cheers of Forest supporters both before, throughout and after the fixture. It now seems only a matter of time before the fans favourite leaves W12 after these poorly came to light after the fixture.

I got the impression throughout the game that he was at home with Forest. I don't want him to go, but as he explains above he plainly doesn't want to stay with the club.

We'd welcome him with open arms at the CG. I can't see your fans being happy with his comments, that's understandable. He has been out of favour with you and that would suggest he had a dodgy spell. All keepers have them, but our current keeper has been on one long one. His 15 games with us coincided with our best form of the season. I hope we get him.

It's nothing to do with a dodgey spell, the bloke is a bit of a loose cannon with his words and has been left out due to personal reasons - believing to surround something he's said to Flavio Briatore. He is a great keeper but there's no way back after some poorly timed comments.

Poorly timed comments - after these comments, you have to start to wonder whether he "threw" the game on purpose seeing as it was HIS error that gifted Forest their 2nd. Trouble is, yet again, it shows that Camp does not want to work for his supper - he knows he'd get straight into the Forest team as their no 1 & he's shown, time & again, he would prefer to walk into the spot - not work for it. Beware what you wish for Forest - if he has a bad period and gets dropped, he wont wanna stay around to earn his place back!

I think he's made a foolish choice in my opinion - because he is now the man with the jersey and had we given him a new deal he'd be on far better wages than he would be getting at Forest - which I presume is one of his main motivations for moving. I think Camp is professional enough not to throw a game though Sandy - although the timing doesn't help his case!
