Camp Cites Unfair Competition

Rangers goalkeeper Lee Camp believes that his current stint in the Rangers line-up is a short-term measure for him and QPR.

The R`s stopper was all smiles as he spoke to nottinghamforest.co.uk stating that despite his recent first team opportunity it merely 'papered over the cracks` as he plays second fiddle to Radek Cerny.

He said: "The bigger picture is that I played today, but the reason why I played is because Radek Cerny`s injured.

"If Radek Cerny would have been fit I would have been in the stand today as a spectator. I probably wouldn`t have travelled with the squad.

"I think the fact that I`ve played the last three games in my eyes it kind of papers over the cracks."

Lee Camp`s recent comments will give Rangers boss Paulo Sousa an interesting decision to make with regards to the future of the goalkeeping jersey in W12.

Camp believes that when Cerny is fully fit for selection that he will drop out of the reckoning altogether as he continues to be frozen out at Loftus Road.

He continued: "I went back and I trained with the youth team. I was left out of squads and the reason I have been brought back in is because Radek`s injured.

"I played today, I played the last couple but Radek`s still injured so we`ll see what happens when Radek`s fit and available for selection.

"Whether I play my way back in or whether he`ll go straight back in that`s for the manager to decide and what will be will be."

Camp has recently spoken to BBC Radio Nottingham with regards to his future at Queens Park Rangers and how keen he is to sign for the Tricky Trees.

I can sympathise to an extent that it seems no matter what he does Cerny will get back in - but his comments are poorly timed and the QPR fans don't deserve that disrespect.

But he does nothing except moan & whinge, Boxer - how can you say that? He has shown a consistently bad attitude since the beginning of the season - and it is nothing new - he was not prepared to work for his place at Derby. Billy Davies told him he could stay and fight or leave - he chose to leave coz we had offered him the number one slot. I've lost all respect for Camp.

But playing devils advocate a tad - what would you be saying if he was showing up and collecting his wage cheque every week without so much as showing up to the ground. People would say he's taking the money. He wants to play but it's clear to me from what he's saying that there isn't a level playing field between himself and Cerny.
Boxer
He was always going to go. He could have left as a fans favourite by doing all of this talking behind closed doors but clearly he doesnt respect the manager, the fans and the club enough to do that.
