Internazionale Get The Better Of QPR

Queens Park Rangers Under-20`s went down to reigning champions Inter Milan in the opening game of the Coppa Carnevale tournament.

The young Rangers side battling spirit and sheer grit and determination saw them come up narrowly short against their illustrious counterparts.

Rangers were a goal down to Vincenzo Esposito`s men in the opening minute as Antonio Esposito converted a cross from former QPR target Mattia Destro.

However the R`s didn`t lie down and were level before the break as two of the three pronged attack combined to great effect.

Romone Rose laid in forward Antonio German with the young forward netting from close range with an excellently placed angled volley - the culmination of a fantastic flowing move.

The aforementioned Esposito then turned provider to break the young R`s hearts with just over 15 minutes remaining with Luca Caldirola latching onto his near post free-kick to hand Nerazzurri the win.

Rangers will now look forward to their contest with Australian side A.P.I.A. Leichhardt Tigers on Wednesday.

Internazionale: Belec, Donati, Mei, Daminuta (Rigione 65), Caldirola, Obi, Krhin, Gerbo (Tremolada 22), A.Esposito (Stevanovic 74) Destro, Napoli.

Queens Park Rangers: Nick Lee-Bulmer, Elliot Cox, Aaron Waters, Joe Oastler, Ed Harris, Lee Brown, Terry Smith, Matteo Alberti (Josh Parker, 75), Antonio German, Angelo Balanta, Romone Rose.
