Man of the Match - Kaspars Gorkšs

QPR fans have voted Kaspars Gorkšs as Rangers man of the match in the R`s away draw against Nottingham Forest.

Under the guidance of Paulo Sousa Rangers sit in ninth place in the Championship and are on a nine game unbeaten run, to which Kaspars Gorkšs has been integral.

The Latvian international has sat alongside Damion Stewart in a rock solid defensive unit that has conceded only three goals in the last six league games, and prior to the Forest game they had three clean sheets in succession.

Since joining the R`s from Blackpool in the summer, Gorkšs had a slow start to life in the Championship sitting behind Damion Stewart and Fitz Hall in the pecking order under Iain Dowie. Injuries and change of management have forced Kaspars into the side, and it is a place that won`t be relinquished any time soon on the basis of recent performances.

What you said…

Sandydl: "I've just voted for Kaspars Gorkss, another solid, high octane performance from a high octane player."

Gorkšs came in well clear of the field leaving goalscorer Matteo Alberti and former Forest loanee Lee Camp trailing in his wake.

The top three were as follows:

1. Kaspars Gorkšs - 44%
2. Lee Camp - 27%
3. Matteo Alberti - 21%

Now we ask a new poll question:

Where should the R`s strengthen in the loan window?
