'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Brown - One More Round

Steve Brown told of his pride as Queens Park Rangers Under 20`s dismantled A.P.I.A. Leichhardt Tigers and is looking for a win against Palermo to qualify.

The R`s youth team coach spoke to QPR.co.uk following the win over the Australian outfit and indicated that their fate lies in their hands.

He said: 'It is fantastic that the Club entered us into this prestigious tournament, and I'm pleased with the way my players are handling the whole occasion.

'On and off the pitch, they have made me proud.

"Their conduct and professionalism has been spot-on, and now we've given ourselves a real chance of making the quarter-finals.

'A win on Friday against Palermo should be enough - it's up to us to complete the job.'

The result marked their first win in the tournament after a narrow defeat against Inter Milan on Monday. Goals from Romone Rose, Josh Parker and a second in two games for Antonio German underlined the R`s credentials.

Brown said: 'I'm absolutely delighted with this result.

'The recovery time is very short between the games here, so the players are being pushed very hard, but they're responding brilliantly to the demands we're putting on them.

'We want to stay in this competition for as long as possible, and I think this performance underlined our desire to do well."
