Moronic Supporters Target Routledge

Rival supporters shamelessly goaded QPR players into fighting at a service station.

It has been reported in the News Of The World that a suspected mix of Cardiff City and Brighton & Hove Albion supporters made Wayne Routledge a target as he entered Watford Gap services on the M1.

Rangers were returning from their weekend draw against Nottingham Forest when supporters set upon the R`s players - who failed to rise above the idiocy and responded in kind.

According to the tabloid newspaper the altercation spilled over into the car park before the police were called to deal with the situation.

Cardiff fans have every reason to feel bitter as Routledge opted for W12 over the Welsh capital in the January transfer window. A club with growing ambition and renewed vigour on the field - it remains held back by a section of supporters determined to drag its name through the mud.

Lest we forget 'fan' Barrie Jones giving Nazi salutes towards police at London`s Wood Lane tube station in November before their clash with QPR.

I find it a pity that our players couldn't rise above it - I suppose you will see the repercussions if any against Ipswich.

Cardiff City didnt even have a game that day! Why a bunch of supporters would be there, there's no reason but it certainly wasnt on club related business. NOTW making a story out of nothing......impossible!

Apparently there are fans there that witnessed it before the paper reported on it. I would like to say that this isn't a slight on CCFC fans as a whole - just a shame a couple have to ruin it.
