Cardiff Date Officially Confirmed

Cardiff City`s FA Cup hammering this evening has confirmed the date of the Championship clash with QPR.

With Cardiff City losing away to Arsenal this evening they will play Queens Park Rangers on the advertised date of Wednesday February 25 at 7:45pm at Ninian Park.

Mass confusion would have broken out had the Bluebirds claimed a win at the Emirates Stadium this evening as they would have played Burnley on the date above with another game against Sheffield United potentially falling had they beaten Hull City.

Cardiff would have played Burnley for the right to face Sheffield United (or Hull) - with that game being played on the date the R`s were due to face the Blades. Thus it could have postponed two fixtures, and the backlog would have piled up.

Confused? Don`t worry! Goals courtesy of Eduardo Da Silva, Nicklas Bendtner and Robin van Persie secured a 4-0 win for Arsenal and cemented the dates in the diary for Rangers supporters.

And so:

Cardiff City v Queens Park Rangers - Wednesday February 25 - 7:45pm.
Queens Park Rangers v Sheffield United - Saturday March 7 - 3:00pm.

The rearranged game against Swansea City remains in the balance should they beat Fulham then force Manchester United to a replay. If this happens then the game on Tuesday March 17 will be postponed for the second time.

Should Manchester United have a Champions League game it would possibly make my head spontaneously combust.

Oh bollards - I thought I was being clever by writing goals from Bendtner and Eduardo - which from still applicable from 2-0! Lol. Cheers - good spot.

Up for another bit of pedantic spot? You've missed RvP from the goalscorers lol! I have way too much time on my hands now...

Oops - I heard it was Eduardo, Bendtner, Eduardo, Bendtner - I shall adapt..
