The voting in the Football Fanzine Awards opened today with Vital QPR nominated in several categories.

There are a number of well supported fan websites on the net and Vital QPR remains a new kid on the block but here is a brief round up of what we have achieved during my brief tenure as editor.

Lap of Onuoha

A NEDUM Onuoha strike early in the second half saw Queens Park Rangers edge out Wigan Athletic in a fairly nondescript affair at the DW Stadium.

A game that never really got going was settled early in the second period when the Latics failed to clear a set-piece and the QPR skipper powered home from just inside the area.

Both sides created half chances but never really got out of first gear - with Grant Hall in particular a rock throughout to snuff out an endless array of Luke Garb
