'If It's Football, It's Vital'

López Relishes The Battle

New QPR signing Jordi López is confident that he can handle the physical aspect of Championship football.

The Spaniard spoke to QPR.co.uk shortly after his arrival in W12 as he realised a long-term ambition to play in English football.

He said: "I have always liked English football and wanted to play in this country for a long time.

"QPR have now given me the opportunity to do this, and it is my aim to show the club that they have made the right decision by granting me this chance."

'Being a creative player doesn't mean I can't handle the fight and the more physical side of the English game,

'I am ready for that and just want to get on with doing my best for QPR, because I know there is not much time for me to adapt, as there's only three months left of the season.'

Having trained with his new squad members already this week, Jordi López revealed that there is a high level of determination to succeed in the squad at present.

He said: 'I have been very impressed,

'It is clear how focused and determined they are to be successful. Now I want to play my part.

'My motivation is at the highest possible point.

'I am ready to play my part in helping the Club reach the play-offs. That is the target for us all.'

Promising stuff - looks eager to impress for a new deal if nothing else!

It will be interesting to see what happens when someone goes through the back of him and doesn't even get a talking to. Thats the test of properly 'coping' with the hustle and bustle of the Championship. No rolling around sniper-esque please.

Our only players that didn't like these tackles were Ledesma and Parejo - and they went as soon as Sousa came in! I don't think Sousa would stand for anything else.
