Hogan Enjoys New Lease Of Life

Hogan Ephraim has revealed that the appointment of Paulo Sousa has rejuvenated him as a player and given him a new chance in a different position.

Speaking to QPR.co.uk the QPR winger told of his delight playing under Paulo Sousa and his plans to score more goals in the forthcoming fixtures.

He said: "The manager`s come in he gave me a new lease of life. He`s played me in a slightly different position but I feel I`ve adapted to it quite well and it`s going well so touch wood it stays like that.

"When I`m infront of goal I always believe I can score if I get a chance so it`s definitely something I want to add to my game. In the last four to five games I`ve had a few chances, since Derby I`d say, I`ve had a few chances.

"If I can chip in with my fair share of goals and keep making goals then I`ll be very happy."

With only 15 games remaining this season, Ephraim believes it`s crunch time for him and his fellow players. He believes that it is these kind of situations where you learn a lot about your team-mates.

He said: "It`s this time of the season you find out who your players are really, because the pressure`s on and the manager will look for that. He`ll want to see who can take responsibility and what not, so we`re all under pressure to do well.

"It`s going to be a tough three games but we go out to get the three points every game, but obviously you`ll have to look at other results and if you`ve got seven to nine points you`d be quite happy."

Hogan also looked ahead to the game on Saturday against Ipswich Town - a side that are one place and three points behind the R`s in the Championship table. The game is being played under the Sky cameras which Ephraim believes is a good omen.

He said: "We`ll take one game at a time but if we can start with a win on Saturday and then build from there it`ll be a great boost.

"Since I`ve been here we`ve always done well in Sky games, so that should bode well for us. We`re at home so the fans should be behind us and it`s a good game.

"Ipswich are a good footballing side as well so it`ll be a good contest and a game we have to win."
