Magilton's Pride In Strike Power

Ipswich boss Jim Magilton believed his side were outstanding to a man and reserved special praise for his strike force.

Jon Stead and Pablo Counago were singled out among the star performers by Magilton for their displays as the Tractor Boys defeated QPR 3-1 in W12.

Jim told itfc.co.uk: 'I'm thrilled for all the players, it was an excellent performance with moments of real quality,' said the Town boss.

'I'm really pleased the forwards got on the scoresheet. They have worked very hard in recent games without getting the rewards but today they did. Pablo's goal in particular was outstanding and gave us a foothold in the game.

'There was a tremendous work ethic amongst the whole team and they have shone like beacons this week when people were writing us off.

'They were outstanding to a man. There's a real team spirit amongst them and I'm proud of every one of them.'

Town came from behind as they did two years ago to defeat the R`s soundly on their own turf. This time goals from Stead, Counago and substitute Jon Walters put Rangers to the sword as Sousa goes back to the drawing board.
