Cook Slams Boo Boys

Cook Slams Boo Boys

Lee Cook has told of his disappointment as sections of the Rangers fans started to boo against Ipswich.

Cook told the London Informer that the players were aware of the booing and it saddened that a sectioned of support had turned on their own.

He said: "That`s disappointing - all the boys could hear it,

'It`s sad when our own fans are booing their own players - that`s a desperate situation.

'But Gavin`s a strong character. Was already talking about Wednesday straight after the game. He knows what it`s all about and he can take it.'

While he thought the criticism was perhaps a little harsh, he believes the R`s will have to step up their game as they face Cardiff at Ninian Park on Wednesday night.

He said: 'Where we didn`t win the game against Ipswich was the first half.

'We beat Derby and Blackpool away recently and we`ve got to use that as the incentive for the next two games.'

Cook is set to start against Cardiff City on the left flank and he comes up against either Miguel Commingues or Kevin McNaughton.

Quite right too - although if Cook had done his job correctly and consistently, maybe it wouldn't have got that far! He loves to come inside the whole time when we know he's at his best hugging the flank and crossing the ball.
