Gigi In Frame For Napoli Post

Former QPR boss Luigi De Canio is one of the names mentioned as Napoli may soon be in the market for a new boss.

De Canio has been out of work since leaving Queens Park Rangers on personal reasons at the end of the 2007/08 season.

He is one of three names mentioned as boss Edy Reja continues to teeter on the brink following the Partenopei dropping to tenth in Serie A prompting a fans protest outside the ground.

According to Napoli24.com De Canio, Roberto Donadoni and favourite Alberto Zaccheroni are the names mentioned in the frame at Stadio San Paolo.

De Canio had an unsuccessful spell with the club just after the turn of the millennium when he was charged with the task of taking them back to Serie A. However the former Parma boss fell short with Napoli in fifth place.

I hope he gets it - good luck to him. Did a great job for us and with a little more support in the transfer market could have got us into them playoffs this season. Shame he had to leave of his own accord.
