Early Bird Freeze - UPDATE!

Queens Park Rangers have announced a freeze on their prices for next season subject to a renewal date.

Providing you renew with the club by April 17 2009 you will be entitled to the prize freeze announced today.

The Club is maintaining the present structure of four different price bands: the most expensive being in the Platinum area (adult price £699) and the cheapest in the Bronze area (adult price £450). Concessions include Juniors (under 16), Young Adult (16 - 21) and Senior Citizens (60+). Under eights remain free in the Silver and Bronze areas only.

QPR have been listening to the fans more closely this season. I had a long chat with a very nice young man called Daniel who works in the Commerical Department at QPR only last week. He asked me what my "match day experience" was like and, after 45 minutes of his patiently hearing me out, I think he got my message!

According to Daniel, by the way, improvements that have been made in the South Africa Road stand, such as the Sandwich & Soup concession units, should be made available elsewhere in the ground soon. He assured me that improvements to other parts of the ground were slated for this coming close season - but please nobody hold your breath! I will believe it only when I see it!!

Remember - if you want to take up the Club's offer - which seems a decent offer to me, to be honest - you must renew by April 17th.

Not impressed. With the current economic reality and the growing likelyhood that we will be playing Championship football next season, the club needs to offer us a bigger incentive. I will almost certainly be renewing mine in any case, but feel that more could've been done.

Fair enough - but I think it was never going to happen that they'd lower the prices so, in the circumstances, thank heavens they haven't raised them!!
