Delaney Backs Sousa

QPR full back Damien Delaney has backed boss Paulo Sousa in the wake of some poor recent results.

Speaking to the Mail Online Delaney believes that Sousa should be given time to transmit his message to the players in the wake of a host of managerial departures in W12.

He said: 'All the lads like and respect the manager and want him to be given time to put his ideas and methods into practice,

He arrived in mid-season, which is always difficult, and he has had the job of trying to create stability after a lot of upheaval.

'This was only our second league defeat since early December and we all feel we are starting to get there as a team.'

Delaney bagged his second goal of the season at the weekend sneaking in at the near post to latch on to Matteo Alberti`s left wing cross. His goal prior to that was in the league cup against Swindon Town.

The Irish international has improved immensely in recent games in his left back berth and will be looking to help Paulo Sousa`s Rangers to a much needed victory against Norwich City tomorrow night.

Got to agree, when you consider how short a time he's been here and fans chanting obscene stuff at him against Ipswich - it was plainly apalling and I hope they get behind him and the team.
