'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Loan Duo Speak

The QPR exodus was in full flow yesterday with two fringe players being shipped out on loan, here is what they said.

Gary Borrowdale is yet to feature for Rangers since signing back in December despite their evident woes in the left-back berth.

He moved on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion yesterday and speaking to seagulls.co.uk he intimated his desire to play first team football.

He said 'It's nice to know a few of the lads, but everyone else has been great this morning. Everyone introduced themselves and everyone seems to be getting on well with each other. It's a good atmosphere.

'It was a good first training session. We had some light games, but now I'm just looking forward to tomorrow's game.

'It's a hard league. I played in it for Colchester earlier in the season, and we just have to grind results out from now until the end of the season. Even if you don't play well, the main thing is the three points."

Shortly after Borrowdale`s move to the south coast Jake Cole made the short switch to the north as he penned a loan deal with Barnet.

The stopper who recently had a successful loan spell with Blue Square Premier outfit Oxford United also had first team football on his agenda when speaking to barnetfc.com.

He said 'I'm really happy to be here and looking forward to playing games. I only found out yesterday about the possibility of a move to Barnet and I jumped at the chance because I want to be playing league football'.

Cole pens an initial one month loan deal, while Borrowdale`s deal takes him until the end of the season.

I don't know if there's a way back for either now. It's a tough one really, I like Jake Cole his application and effort is tremendous.

Dont agree with you about Cole, Boxer - but I do think this could be a good move for him as I have never thought he'd make it at Rangers.

I don't think he's a fantastic goalkeeper, but not truly that much worse than Cerny from what I've seen. Yes Cole has made a couple of isolated errors but Radek is chucking them in every week - it's dreadful.
