Former QPR boss Luigi De Canio has secured a short-term deal to become the new manager of Lecce.

The newly promoted side are currently struggling in Serie A sitting second bottom of the Italian top tier.

De Canio will be looking to perform a similar task to the one he performed at Rangers by steering the Salentini clear of the drop zone.

He will officially unveiled as Lecce's new boss tomorrow afternoon.

Should he succeed there is an option to extend the deal further than the end of the season.
