Rudi Skácel has spoken in the build up to the weekend`s clash between Southampton and QPR believing that his side need to embark on a positive run.

Southampton`s survival hopes have been given a boost in recent weeks with a succession of positive results and Skácel wants this run to continue against QPR.

Speaking to saintsfc.co.uk the Czech Republic international believed that Rangers would provide a stern test.

He said: 'We will need to play well in order to get something on Saturday but it would be great to get another result in front of our own fans.

'Every game is important to us at the moment regardless of whether it is at home or not and we must prepare for each one accordingly.

'It is important that we continue to look at things game by game for now, but we know what we have to do and another three or four match run would help us, starting against Q.P.R."

The left-sided midfielder has played 21 games this season scoring a solitary goal, and his creativity may be the key to unlocking the Rangers rearguard this weekend.
